I have been a machine tool programmer for 40 years, old school, didn't think it was necessary for me to manipulate software packages to create G-Code, but that is where the big money is these days and I do not plan to retire. Anyhow, I am digging deeper all the time and this language is at the heart of the process required to generate NC code from the binary representation of tool path that the CAM systems first create. I have been testing editors for TCL support and that has brought me here, I would offer you some assistance but I am severely green with logic coding and so far the lights have not turned on.
