DEBIAN-CONFIGURE

* Add user to the group 'sudo'

  $ addgroup sudo $USERNAME

* Install Broadcom wifi module 

  1. Add to /etc/apt/sources.list & update

    # Debian 9 "stretch"
    deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ stretch main contrib non-free

  2. Install 'broadcom-sta-dkms' and 'wl'

     $ apt-get install broadcom-sta-dkms wl

  3. Load the module

     $ modprobe -r wl && modprobe wl


* Add sources to /etc/apt/sources.list

  deb  http://httpredir.debian.org/debian stretch main
  deb-src  http://httpredir.debian.org/debian stretch main

  deb  http://httpredir.debian.org/debian stretch-updates main
  deb-src  http://httpredir.debian.org/debian stretch-updates main

  deb http://security.debian.org/ stretch/updates main
  deb-src http://security.debian.org/ stretch/updates main


* Configure Mount options of various partitions

* In case the touchpad doesn't behave well in "X server" use 'synclient' to configure
  the touchpad to suit your needs.

  The 'synclient' cli tool is expected to be in the 'xserver-xorg-input-synaptics' or the
  'xserver-xorg-input-libinput' package.

  The typcial configuration to modify are,

    - To enable tap to click,

       TapButton1=1 # left mouse button on single tap
       TapButton2=3 # right mouse button on double tap
       TapButton3=3 # right mouse button on triple tap

    - For natural scrolling

       VertScrollDelta=-46

   For up-to-date information refer to 'synclient-config'

* Bluetooth discoverability issue

  If no Bluetooth devices are detected and the following error is found
  in the `dmesg` log, then continue reading to see how to fix it.

        Bluetooth: hci1: BCM43142A
        Bluetooth: hci1: BCM43142A (001.001.011) build 0000
	bluetooth hci1: Direct firmware load for brcm/BCM.hcd failed with error -2

  Copy the BCM.hcd file[1] in the root of this repository
  to `/lib/firmware/brcm` and restart computer.

        sudo cp BCM.hcd /lib/firmware/brcm
        reboot
