Recommended lifetime for ODataClient #904

The documentation does not seem to mention the recommended lifetime of the Simple.OData.Client.ODataClient class. Can I safely configure it as a global singleton in a multi-threaded application such as a web application?

I am currently running version 5.26 - is the recommendation the same for versions 5 and 6?
