Fetching the sqlite.db file from data repository?

I am sorry if I have missed that in the documentation, or misunderstood what I read, but I don't think I have found a way to make datasette fetch the data from an existing sqlite.db hosted on another website, such as a governmental data repository.

The one I would want ot use is entrepot.recherche.data.gouv.fr, which seems to allow downloading the data using their API, but I don't understand to to use that with datasette and fetch the data at regular intervals. Is that possible?
