PROPOSAL: AMY has Arduino examples that show connections to MIDI or USB MIDI (host or gadget) #196
Comments
Glad that is still happening hopefully. Saw that Marcel License has been porting synths to Pico, seemingly because easy native USB MIDI has been missing from the ESP32 synth community. |
Guess I shouldn't hold My breath waiting for this. There is any general estimate on when that may be posted? I assume it's mainly deleting some of the extra things and merging other things from one or more of the files in one or more of these repos and leaving the other pertinent portion to accomplish a full USB MIDI solution. Recommend what files are best to edit and merge together to do so? |
Sigh...any progress update on that? Thanks in advance. |
I'm currently investigating the possibility of integrating AMY and Phil Schatzmann's Arduino Audio Toolkit. He also has some progress on USB audio for Arduino, which is one of the things I've been waiting for. |
Ah. This thread is specifically about USB MIDI though. Is that relevant to USB MIDI? |
The audio toolkit does USB MIDI, but I thought that was a standard Arduino library. |
Oh, thanks for notifying👍🏻 Hope that is USB MIDI in and out, and hope
that is compatible with ESP32 S3. I was trying “arduino music library”
earlier today, but that had compiler errors that are seemingly planned to
be solved in a later update to that library.
