cloth-client-events-v0.mixins.json crash on first launch #40
Comments
Are you sure that it is the latest cloth api? it says 2.0.54 in your crash? |
Hmm okay, I tested with cloth-api-3.1.58.jar now and I'm getting a slightly different crash, yet still related to cloth-client-events:
And this one is the same crash as I reported initially, on MC1.17.1/Cloth API 2.1.60:

I've been playing with version 3.0.55 (fabric) without any issues, I tried updating to the last version (3.1.61) today and the game crashes in what seems to be a similar way (mixin something, exact message in the file attached) I tested all the mods I run one by one and the culprit is optifine/optifabric. As soon as I remove them the game launches without any issue. |
In my modpack's latest versions for 1.17.1 and 1.18.1, the following crash occurs:
What is notable is that this only happens once after a clean download, any subsequent attempts will not crash.
It has been suggested that this may occur due to a duplicate addition of Cloth API (Curseforge Launcher automatically adds any dependencies that are listed in the mods). Other than trying to fight Curseforge Launcher into not adding the mod, do you have any suggestions on how to fix/workaround it?
