It's more like dropout than XRUN, coming with high-pitched static pops/crackles that are firing up at random by just sweeping the integrated virtual piano keyboard yet increasing error count in pw-top.
it seems somewhat better when hosted inside Carla than everywhere else, but that's just an almost meaningless little improvement.
I triple checked my Pipewire/JACK config, mostly unchanged from the default, as in the beginning I was thinking it depended on some fine tuning. I realized it was not the case when I repeated a similar test with another SFZ player, liquidsfz, which doesn't shoot out a single static noise.
rtcqs checklist cleared.
All tests were done with the develop flavor of the sfizz package in OBS, which is updated to the latest commit [ec4656d]
