when you do a "sudo make install" it runs release/install.sh This will install the aqaulinkd.service file enable the service and start the service systemd will start enabled services automatically on boot. |

Oh ok I did the trust everything install. And currently it is not starting on boot. I will keep looking into it. Thanks |

I did a clean install via normal install method and still can't get it to start on boot. I gett the same fail as above |

It's running. It just didn't continue to run. It exited or crashed for some reason. Run aqualinkd in the foreground with debug enabled. https://github.com/ballle98/AqualinkD/wiki#run-in-foreground-with-logging You can also use the serial logger to validate the communication with the panel. After than make sure your configuration is correct. |

everything runs fine if I run pi@aqualinkd:~ $ sudo systemctl start aqualinkd If I run debug in the FG. I can't see anything that jumps out nad the serial logger comes back with all the right info |

On a few occasions I’ve seen the USB2RS converter to not be ready at boot. But to find out what’s going on do the following. |

@Bigfellas when you run it in the foreground with debug does it just keep running or does it stop right where you show above? I have worked through additional issues with PDA mode. Try installing my fork - https://github.com/ballle98/AqualinkD/wiki#install If aqualinkd is crashing see if you can capture a core file and backtrace - https://github.com/ballle98/AqualinkD/wiki#enable-core-dumps |

No it doesn’t crash in foreground mode.

Sorry very much a noob qustion I have searched the web and tried a few things but I can't sem to get Aqualinkd to start on boot I have to start the service every time. Can anyone please help. Thanks
