NV hangs when trying to create a new note

When I try to create a new note, NV hangs and starts to take all free memory.

Usecase:

1. Focus on the search bar (with Cmd + L or with mouse);
2. Type in some word;
3. Hit Enter;
4. NV hangs.

Before creating a note everything seems to work fine, I can browse all my notes as usual:

Could you please provide a stack trace of the program when this occurs? An easy way to obtain it is to run sample "Notational Velocity".
