Thanks for the question! We weren't yet able to take a look at notebooks, but that for sure is something we would want to support. However, it seems we should be able to provide language support and we are not able to do it since we do not support the extension:

Hi, with recent changes to vscode notebooks is now possible to have kernels with languages other than python. Using https://almond.sh/docs/try-docker vscode was able to start a scala kernel with basic support for running code and syntax highlighting but there's no auto complete and other complex features. I noticed that vscode started a metals server but It seems that some extra work is needed for it to truly integrate with notebooks. Am I doing something wrong? or support for notebooks is not really there yet? How can I help you guys with adding support for it?
