I just bought an nRF52832 based module off Amazon in the hopes I could turn it into a simple rf Beacon- can this repository work with it?

Sorry, what I'm trying to do here is way above my current level of experience, but I am jumping in anyway to try to make this into a short range proximity sensor. This will be built into a dog tag so that my dog can automatically open the dog door after his amputation this week due to cancer. The only chip available on amazon was this one:

I've used arduinoIDE for projects, but never the nordicSDK. I'll learn it if I have to but was hoping there was an easier way to get to the finish line here in the short term and that I can get this module to independently periodically relay a short range radio signal that can be detected by a larger PCB. If the module I bought isn't the right choice for this then I'd appreciate any suggestions to one that could fit this application. Thanks so much!
