how can I show selected disabled values in multiple select

Hi,
in my multi select box I have the possibility to select several employees.
If these employees are no longer "active", they should be displayed as disabled in the select box. Unfortunately, the select is no longer displayed for the disabled values.
Is there a setting that changes that?
The disabled employees should not be further selectable.
