Flea 3 Camera not discoverable

Unable to detect Point Grey Flea 3 using Linux. Running the following command:
rosrun pointgrey_camera_driver list_cameras
from http://wiki.ros.org/pointgrey_camera_driver with the camera attached, but no cameras are detectable. The camera light is yellow or possibly yellow-green which means "initializing FPGA" and "camera power down" respectively according to the datasheet.
