This might be in a sub tab of the codes tab. Let's assume one level of grouping and call the group names metacodes. We would need a new two column data frame with a variable for the metacode and a variable for a code that is attached to it. NA if no code is attached. Should be strictly hierarchical (each code goes to one and only one metacode).
