The proposal is to have a new action Extra features, which is enabled when the device has extra features than those proposed in the main UI.
For example, an AT28C64 EEPROM has a feature to read/write 64 extra bytes, called Device Identification (see the AT28C64 datasheet).
Additionally, this same device has an alternative Erase mode, as described in the same datasheet.
The idea is: the Extra features action (in the case of this device) should open a panel as demonstrated in the following mock:
