Overflow: hidden or overflow-x-hidden issue

Hi, I'm having the same issue as #391. I'm trying to set the container to overflow-hidden, such that it will allow itself to truncate its value in a flex box, but doing so also causes the list to never appear. How can I fix this? Thank you!
