Linux - Arch - rimpy crashes trying to do anything

Arch: lastest
rimpy: v1.2.6.29
installation method: AUR package

I just installed the AUR package using pikaur and trying to do the setup has rimpy crashing right away, I am on the last version of rimpy wth all Arch updates installed, and here is console output from invocation to crash:
