It would be great to have Squeezebox integration. Squeezebox has open source plug-ins for live BBC channels and iPlayer, but nothing to mark a programme or series for subscription and subsequently download it.
I use your Radio Downloader alongside Squeezebox Server on the same PC to populate its library for playback via Squeezebox players, but any UI for subscription/monitoring/problem resolution has to be via your software on the PC rather than through a Squeezebox interface (browser, player display, handset, iPad/iPod App, etc).
It would be great to be able to listen to a programme on iPlayer via Squeezebox and subscribe to it just by using the remote. It wouldn’t necessarily require the whole of Radio Downloader to run as a Squeezebox Server plug-in. Perhaps Radio Downloader could have a new API so that the existing iPlayer plug-in for Squeezebox could be extended to instruct Radio Downloader to add a program or series for download or to remove a subscription, and to display any errors Radio Downloader has encountered.
If it were implemeted as a web service, I'm sure that such an API could be used by other systems, too. Perhaps an iPhone or Android app to control what series will sync to your phone? A plug-in for Sonos? Or one for a UPnP media player?
