Modify and rerun invocations (brain surgery)

In case an invocation is stuck (e.g. because of a programming bug), it might be helpful if the user could selectively modify the existing journal (e.g. removing journal entries, rewriting journal entries) and then retrying the invocation. This could help preventing having to cancel the invocation.

It is not clear how feasible brain surgery on a running invocation is.
