Linking here because this also looks promising, and appears to be more specific to Arch Linux screen power management: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Display_Power_Management_Signaling |

Hi rern! Thank you again for an incredible music player.
Now that I’m using a monitor with multiple HDMI inputs, I’m more aware that ALL of my other Raspberry Pi systems are able to turn off the screen (including turning off the backlight) after a certain timeout period. This is convenient, because it means whichever device I wake from sleep will automatically assume HDMI priority, without me having to manually select the input.
However, rAudio is the odd exception, because even when blanking the screen, it leaves the backlight on… and so if multiple Raspberry Pi systems are connected to the monitor (Kodi, Raspi OS, and rAudio), a moment after the others go to sleep the rAudio input grabs priority and turns the backlight back on, wasting power and casting light in what should, at night, be a dark room. Yes, manually turning off the monitor is possible, but doing so means I can’t remotely wake the monitor again, either.
Would any of the approaches mentioned in the page for this Kodi plugin possibly address the issue, and allow rAudio to have a true “screen-off after timeout” mode?

With appreciation,
M.
