How does this feature work on Reddit?

On reddit, you can browse posts from a specific domain or site regardless of which subreddit it is in.
For example

• Posts from imgur.com from any subreddit would be: https://www.reddit.com/domain/imgur.com/
• Top posts for the month from youtube.com from any subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/domain/youtube.com/top/?sort=top&t=month

You can do the usual sorting by hot, new, rising, controversial, and top here too.

On the same urls as reddit with the json endpoints there: https://www.reddit.com/domain/imgur.com/hot.json?&raw_json=1&geo_filter=GLOBAL

Describe alternatives you've considered

Search engine results for inurl:reddit.com/domain/youtube.com or site:reddit.com/domain/youtube.com but the results are very limited.
