Trouble using the plugin on Fedora using JDK 18

Hello everyone,
I've installed java 18 on my Fedora distro using this guide which basically ended me up storing the necessary files for java in the folder "/opt/jdk-18". And if I try to compile and run some code it works perfectly but the extension for vscode doesn't. I've changed the settings for the extensions into this:

        {
            "name": "JavaSE-18",
            "path": "/opt/jdk-18",

          },
    ]
}

But it didn't solve the problem. The only thing I can see is a pop-up that tells me that Java 17 or more is required to run the extension.

I've installed java 18 after adding the plugin for vscode. So I've simply reinstalled the plugin ad it just worked. I really don't know why because the "java.configuration.runtimes" is empty.
