This sounds like more of a community building thing to me, @PatrickM727 @AyAyRon-P

Who is doing the graphics for this? We need to have these graphics QC'd before they go out because there have been several meetups that have used improper branding and elements.

discussion with @David405 , @patrick727 , @ddayan, @JoshOrndorff (ref #995)

DC: the $3086 is well above the $1000 guideline (receipts required)
We didn't manage pre-approval in this case
JO: Which universities?
David: [missed], Lagos
PM: David did reach out...
PM: I think we can get these costs down in the future
PM: I hear there are photos and such; please do share
JO: maybe the Munich thing should go a little higher than $600.
JO: beyond expenses, how much of this is rewards for who's time? David, Valentine, @ibesoft11 , [missed 1]
JO: how much is re-usable? share, please?
David: will do. I have some revisions to make too.
Aaron: QC of graphic materials is important. I'm happy to help.
JO: I'm inclined to vote close to the $3K and apply what we learned in the future...
Dror: I plan to vote <= $1000
PM: I'll be sure to vote by Oct 8.

regardless of the votes, it's clear that the work is done.

Due to not following the guidelines and lack of receipts this could also be seen as an attempt to game the system.

I avoided slashing and I matched it to the latest meetup budget.

@ddayan this has gone from scrutiny to something else. Your comments of late has been rather counter productive to the coop and I strongly advise you read through the issue(s) properly before you comment. The work has clearly been done, there are picture evidence, a tutorial slide that was used during the event, and a well detailed document to break down the activities.

I honestly don't know the cause of your paranoia.

It isn't without hurting that I made this judgement, my budget vote was for 1000.00 USD.

The up side is that David did reach out looking for pre-approval, although the contents of that message were fairly vague.

The down side is that there were outlined guidelines, no receipts and no clear assessments of the meetups outcome in a digestible form.

Moving forward we will have professional guidelines for meetups.

The draft is currently being circulated.

Thank you David for the work you did on this, it's unfortunate this outcome.
