I'm not sure if I'm missing something, or if the document doesn't cover it as of now, but is there a way to specify headers in the API calls being made? The spec doesn't seem to specify a way to provide the same. If it is currently not supported, I'll try to find some time to submit a pull request for the same but I guess that would require us to discuss the exact implications on the spec a bit more.
