This is fixed in dev, replace your rei with https://jenkins.modmuss50.me/job/shedaniel/job/RoughlyEnoughItems/job/fabric-dev/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/build/libs/RoughlyEnoughItems-2.9.3-pre+build.6.jar

This should not fix this bug but will not crash the whole game.
