.addCommand not a valid method

In version 5.0.0 of this repo I get the error that the .addCommand() is not a valid method. When I go down to version 4, I no longer get this error and it works. Am I missing something? I tried to see if there were docs to read but all of the provided links on the repo to documentation are dead and I'm not sure how to find out what the new .addCommand() is supposed to be.
