- 800g chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 140ml plain yogurt
- 1 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp finely grated ginger
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced or grated
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp red chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
- Marinate Chicken: Combine chicken with marinade ingredients. Marinate for 30 minutes to an hour.
- Cook Chicken: In a skillet, fry chicken until browned. Set aside.
- Sauté Aromatics: In the same pan, cook onions, garlic, and ginger. Add spices.
- Prepare Sauce: Add tomatoes, chili powder, and salt. Simmer until thickened. Blend until smooth.
- Combine: Return sauce to pan. Add cream, sugar, and fenugreek. Add chicken and simmer until cooked.
