Late-registered characteristics corrupt save file and cause crashes

If a custom characteristic is registered after app init then all characteristics in the players save data will be replaced with missing characteristic. The problem is that now these scores are unrecoverable, and then the game ends up crashing as it cannot find songcore's missing characteristic.
