The concern in #2 has been addressed in later versions of the runit cookbook. Unfortunately, due to the version constraint in this project, later Chef versions (tested on Chef 16) cannot run this cookbook. Relaxing the constraint back the way it was will solve this issue. |

Right now, Runit is set to require explicit version
1.7.4. This does not allow this cookbook to be used along with newer cookbooks.The only major changes (AFAIK) that are in newer versions are the removal of unsupported old Linux versions. (There are also bugfixes, but nothing that appears to affect the way that this cookbook uses Runit.)
