How do I incorporate a toggle between separate plots?

Hi! I am looking to incorporate a drop-down in my Quarto reports that will allow users to toggle between plots. Crucially, the toggle needs to work with two separate plotting objects, rather than for example perform filtering on the data underlying one plot.

Consider the following example document:

Is there a way to incorporate a drop-down, such that users can toggle between p1 and p2?

I have the following restrictions:

• I cannot use Shiny due to how the reports will be delivered.
• Similarly, I cannot use a tabset to solve this problem, as my document already uses a tabset and I would like to avoid nested tabsets.

Use the tabset native feature or implement this yourself using raw content for HTML (Bootstrap is embedded thus already available).
Advanced customisation means getting your hands dirty.
