Composite Scripts (similar to PDM)?

PDM supports a concept of composite scripts:

[tool.pdm.scripts]
lint = "flake8"
test = "pytest"
all = {composite = ["lint", "test"]}

Does Hatch have anything like this? I was unable to find this in the documentation.

It seems like a similar idea may have been discussed previously?

Though trial/error I discovered that each script target is an executable in the environment. Thus, you can simply write:

[tool.hatch.envs.myenv..scripts]
lint = "flake8"
test = "pytest"
all = ["lint", "test"]

Yep, it's there alright. I clearly didn't read the code example close enough.

With that said, from a narrative perspective it might make sense to explain things in a few parts:

• First show how to define a simple set of independent scripts
• Then show that you can write a script that invokes other scripts in the same environment
• And finally demonstrate that you can pass extra argument to "child" scripts

Right now, these are all combined into one example. Expanding the explanation might make it more approachable for newcomers as well as provide an opportunity to include more searchable keywords like "combine", "compose", "multiple", or "child".
