Followed up on the original issue from tokejeps on the pyblish-blender repo.
The repo uses a LGPL-3.0 License so we can just merg it over.
not sure how Github works with this kinda stuff. Best practices, politeness etc. Is it an option to just fork it, or does that just lead to a possible dead parent.
