Notification area pops up on varios occasions (selecting text, error messages, info command, ...).
Sometimes it is useful to copy something from there (like output of info command). This somehow focuses the notification area, after which it is hard to exit from there, since shortcuts (for abort) don't work.
After trying for some time, I figured out that pressing Tab or Up/Down keys changes the focus back, enabling to use abort shortcuts. Alternatively, selecting some text resets the notification area to the selected text, after which again the shortcuts are usable.
It would be desirable that (at least the abort) shortcuts work even after selecting something in the notification area.
