I am not sure but maybe we could use AWS Cloud9? |
@Uzay-G we used to used that! I believe it was deprecated. Or at least what we were using was, I think it was called cloud i9. Now have been trying some OSS platforms but so far they haven’t been stable either. I think I remember a similar discussion somewhere in the MK issues. I’ll link it if I see (on my cellphone so tough right now)! |
:-/ thanks for the catch. Do you think or might we hope that whatever
Codenvy is becoming might stabilize and get updated? We may need to reach
out to other welcoming communities and bootcamps to see what they're using
instead...?

No I don't think codenvy will work at least in the near future because they don't provide the rails stack. Maybe we could use cloud9 although to use it you have to register an AWS account with your credit card. What do you think? |
What happened just before the problem occurred
I was trying to setup my mapknitter repo using the cloud instructions of the README. I clicked on the codenvy link and learned that it has been acquired by Redhat and is now at https://che.openshift.io/. I made an account on this platform and when I tried to select the Rails stack, noticed it is no longer (if it had existed) available.
I'd be happy to make a pull request to remove this section for now from the docs. I have been looking around and many things seem to have changed with the codenvy company being acquired. Their docs are confusing and don't seem to have been updated and they have a website at https://che.openshift.io/ and codenvy.com.
How do you guys think we should fix this?
