Option to disable help text to save ~40 % bandwith

Original Issue was closed without any option to answer for me.

You write math is incorrect. Can you please give more details.
GZipped result with comments is 10837 Bytes.
Removing lines with '# HELP' and then gzipping gives 6906 Bytes. This is ~0,63, so about 40 % of bandwith can be saved. Where is my mistake?
