UX Enhancement Suggestion: Placeholder text for date inputs #259

Hello! I am suggesting that the inputs for the minimum and maximum date form be given placeholder values to indicate what they are for, for example: 'oldest date' 'newest date'

The current code, soon to be released as 9.0, actually has on-screen labels, which can be customized with i18n keys.

I think placeholder text as labels is frowned upon by some people for various accessibility and UX reasons, but potentially we could do it (maybe as an option), if we had to.

But I wonder if the on-screen labels will do the job, even better? Will leave this open for now, pending feedback!
