[Suggestion] Update progress acknowledgement

Summary

A minor preference would be to have Alice show in the syslog when a core update check is completed, Currently there is no acknowledgment of this and it leaves me wondering if she's still doing it or not.

example expected outcome

[Project Alice] Checking for core updates
[Project Alice] Checking on "1.0.0-b5" update channel
[Project Alice] Update checks completed.

that's a easy fix but in addition to the above which i dont know how to do.... on the UI >> Admin >> Utilities tab make the red spinning update button "stop" spinning and being red when update check is finished. Currently it continues indefinitely until refreshed making you feel it's still updating.
