Hi,
Many UE games that have first person camera use different fov angles for camera and for weapon / body parts in first person mode. I came over it in games satisfactory and scum. FOV camera angle usually being fixed. This was stated in the scum steam forum by one of their devs about this:
the view model of the guns and items in hands including hands when changing FOV from 60 to 90 for example would be extremely stretched and out of proportion, that's why now body parts and items you have in hands will stay on default FOV to eliminate that stretch.
UEVR seems to properly adjust the camera fov to match VR view, but the weapon fov remains fixed, which results in distortions, skewing, stretching and displacement of weapon and body parts when looking around with the head. When in case of satisfactory it is just annoying, in first person shooters like scum it completely compromises aiming through gun sights as the gun sight gets displaced and distorted not pointing to where it should.
Question:
What can we do about it? Can we somehow force disable that feature or perhaps adjust camera fov with some properties or vars? Sorry Im new to uevr.
