Touchpad Surface Type Cover sensitivity too high #4041
Comments
Unfortunately, adjusting the mouse speed from System Settings did not solve my problem. The external mouse is working well, the problem only occurs with the touch pad, but changing the trackpad settings in the system settings also does not work. I updated to the latest beta version to test if that would solve my problem, but unfortunately, it did not. Can't I disable the |
If you want to use both the keyboard and the touchpad together, the answer is no. And this cannot be implemented due to limitations in macOS's API. If you don't mind disabling the touchpad, enabling these options will work fine. |
When I enable the
Modify events
option for my keyboard cover: Surface Type Cover (Microsoft) Vendor ID: 1118 (0x045e) Product ID: 2498 (0x09c2). My touchpad sensitivity goes up so high, that I can’t use it anymore. This happens as soon as the
Karabiner DriverKit VirtualHIDPointing 1.8.0 (pars.org)
appears in the Devices list. When I disable the
Modify events
option for the keyboard cover, the touchpad is acting normal again. I can see that there is not only a little keyboard icon, but also a mouse icon next to the keyboard cover in theDevices
list. Is it possible to ignore/disable/remove the mouse settings for this device? I only need the keyboard keys altered. Note. I do not mean disabling the touchpad. I mean disabling the configuration in Karabiner-Elements, so it will keep the same configuration.I’m currently on version 15.3.0. I don’t think the logs file will show much helpful data, but I will add it in anyway.
