Are you selecting TCRP Friend at boot ? For N54L set static boot on user_config.json to true and boot at least once by selecting TCRP FRIEND |

I have documented the steps I took to do the installation. cat user_config.json sed -i 's/"SataPortMap": "1"/"SataPortMap": "4"/' user_config.json cat user_config.json ./rploader.sh backup After the reboot I went into 'TCRP Friend' which then rebooted. ./rploader.sh update set static boot on user_config.json to true ./rploader.sh build ds3622xsp-7.2.0-64570 I booted like 3 times selecting TCRP FRIEND before booting by selecting usb. TRY MAKING IT BOOT SELECTING TCRP FRIEND 3 or more TIMES BEFORE ALLOWING IT BOOT SELECTING USB. |

As a further diagnostic I have determined all the 'DS' type machines that can take DSM 7.2.0 level 'software' BTW I am not sure why it's displaying as 'strike through' |

I think you misunderstood what we meant.
When creating a flash drive, everything is fine.
After that, we find the device in Synology assistant and it is fine to.
System installation starts.
A 10 minute timer appears.
On 9:40 system restart
And after that timer continue to go on, but nothing install...
The timeer is go on to the end....
Then an inscription appears: Something went wrong.

Yep, I just installed DS3615xs (7.1.1-42962) without issue using tinycore-redpill.v0.9.4.9.img and the tinycore build web interface. |

BTW I did get proxmox and the 7.2.2 vmdk working with disk pass through without issue. |

@hazawer what was the boot entry that you selected on both cases ? For Microserver G8, You should have selected "TCRP Friend" at GRUB. Then TCRP Friend decides whether it should use ATA or USB satadom devices. |

I will go back and redo ds3622xsp-7.2.0-64570 and update this thread with the TCRP Friend first after the build/reboot. |

The hardware is an Hp Microserver Gen 8 with 4Gb of RAM and 1 x 2Tb HD. |

@hazawer Did you use the HTML Builder ? It looks that something is failing while executing exec.sh during boot. Please enter the http://yourip:7681 (root/nopass) and execute cat /exts/extlog.log |

The exit to junior mode that is resulting in recovery is the following message : This practically means junior was not able to find an installed system. If you have already performed install on this system then the system is having issues finding the disks that should not result in DSM recovery but in DSM install. Can you please pass the following output from ttyd : |

Oh, it looks that TCRP Friend is not patching the ramdisk properly. Thats strange. Let me have a look and i'll come back to it later today. |

Have been dealing with the same issue (7.2.0, "recover", HP Gen7 MicroServer N36L). Did manage to originally get it working somehow (struggled with the same issue but one build it 'magically' worked). Needed to update the sataportmap so I rebuilt the loader but got this issue. Tried a few times now and can't get it to work again - just gets stuck in the recover loop (Welcome back, hit recover, 4% -> 100%, reboot, back to square one...) |

If you end up in a recovery loop, this means that either ram disk and or kernel needs patching. TCRP Friend will take care of that. Try to set the static boot and select TCRP Friend once at boot. |

I just had what seems to be same issue, while trying out TCRP for the first time. I was able to work around this issue using following steps:

Yes i had triedto update my baremetal 918+7.1.1. to 7.2. I was initially on TCRP 0.9.4.0. So i went through the commands to update,fullupgrade tcrp and then the build process for 7.2. Eventually ran into the same recover loop. Tried several times but eventually reflashed my usb with 0.9.4.9. Did a brand new install, it prompted to install DSM on teh disk, NOT MIGRATE. This was a big hesitation moment for me as i didnt know if it would format the drives. However upon selecting DSM install it didnt say that disks would be formatted, it installed, rebooted i set it to use booth with the friend option and it booted into dsm and reinstalled all my apps and all conigs still in place. Nothing was lost fortunately. |

I've been attempting to get this installed for the past 2 days.
Essentially, 7.2.0 does not work with the loader and the DSM stays in RECOVER mode with no success.
7.1.1 works just fine, but whenever I tried 7.2.0, after installing the pat file, it does not get out of recover and I have to start over.
I've attempted all sorts of different settings, but no luck on 9.4.9 loader.
I've tried via VMWARE > PREMOX > REDPILL LOADER 9.4.9
I've tried via VMWARE > REDBILL LOADER 9.4.9
Neither work with 7.2.0-64570 on DS3622xs+
