Search is broken on live site

When testing the site locally, search works fine, but on the deployed website I get the following errors when clicking on the search input:

[zkochan]

for some reason the cache breaks sometimes.
When I purge the cache on cloudflare, it works again

also, usually it is only broken on the homepage

Appears to be broken on the production site again, but curiously enough only using Chrome and Brave (v1.44.101). Using Firefox or Safari, clicking search works on the homepage. Chrome and Brave both work from sub pages.
