This is an incredible article. It really shows that when demand collapses slack skyrockets. So much for efficient markets. It is also interesting that they mention long-term relationships between farmers and buyers. This article is a wonderful illustration of the structure of the matching model that we talked about this semester. Thank you for sharing! |

I saw this article today in the New York Times about farmers struggling with low prices and low demand due to Covid-19. It's not really related to my retail project but it's interesting that this fact was confirmed during Covid.
