Description

Hello. My Skybox stopped loading, it shows errors in the console. I tried to look in different browsers, tried to connect through different Internet providers, tried to connect through VPN through different countries, but the result is the same. Other Skyboxes load normally.

I tried copying it to another folder, but the situation is the same there, even the preview doesn't work.

It seems to me that the problem may be that there is a limitation on the file size. Because the same Skybox in a lower resolution and with a smaller file size is normally displayed in the preview and works.

When I start the game, the console shows a network error.

Please tell me, it turns out that I just need to wait until it all works on your server or is it possible to somehow check that perhaps the problem is in my project, and not on your server?

So it seems to work for me, at least.

@willeastcott Thank you, I continue to study this problem.

In Linux Ubuntu 24.10, I tried to disable all possible plugins in the Chromium and Yandex Browser, but this did not help yet.

In Firefox, it turned out that there is no such problem, but it shows the error SyntaxError: illegal character U+009E

I also logged in to a computer with Windows 10, there I also do not see such a problem.

That is, the problem is localized to a laptop with Linux Ubuntu 24.10 and the main problem is in browsers based on Chromium.

In Chromium and Yandex Browser, the problem was solved by deleting the profile in Yandex Browser, deleting the browser, deleting all related files and reinstalling everything. After that, normal operation was restored in Yandex Browser and at the same time in Chromium. Since Yandex Browser is based on Chromium, perhaps they shared some common buggy file, library or something else.

Perhaps this all broke earlier after updating one of these browsers and now everything is fine.

But in Firefox, when launching any project in PlayCanvas, even an empty project, it continues to write the error SyntaxError: illegal character U+009E

@willeastcott please tell me, do you have such an error in Firefox when launching any project?

I do not see the syntax error. Using Firefox 133.0.3 (64-bit), Win 11:
