It'b nice, if one could use the Touchscreen to emulate the IR Pointer of the Wii Remote. Otherwise custom Button mapping for a Wii-Mote (Vertically or Horizontally) or Wii Mote + Nunchuck for Gamepad/Pro Controller/Other Modern Controllers could go a long way in making the Wii VC (and games) more easily playable. Being able to use the Controller's Motion Control either for actual Motion stuff or to control the IR Pointer with it. Or map specific motions (like wiggling the Nunchuk or moving the Remote in different ways) to specific buttons. Having a fully fledged Button Mapping setting, would make playing most Wii games so much fun and remove the need to switch between Gamepad and other controllers or stay on a Pro/Modern Controller, paired via Bloopair.

Games like Super Paper Mario, Metroid Other M or Animal Crossing City Folk come to mind, where Controller Controls are almost there, but not fully enough to make it actually seemless/possible. Wii U (Gamepad/Controllers) to Wii needs more compatability and easier access and having it start with reliable Wii VC would be a great step.
Hopefully we can arrive at a point where evry Controller is easily accessing the vWii menu and you can navigate through it however you want!
