Unconnected points in a "line" shape are invisible

The "line" shape used for displaying vector and tracks features does not actually identify the individual points, it just joins them together with lines. This is a problem when we have only one point in a vector, or in any of the individual tracks of a tracks feature -- because the point is unconnected, no line is drawn and so the point is invisible.
