snappy: corrupt input crash on server side

I still have no idea what query pattern triggers this exactly but we can't load tsdb history for certain symbols (past a certain amount) due to the issue documented in
pikers/piker#443

I'm not sure if we'll end up fixing this any time soon since it seems to have to do with parsing done on the server side using a snappy compression go-lang lib as part of the gRPC IPC backend..
