Packages python-pifacecad and python3-pifacecad look like not in Raspbian Stretch #23
Comments
Hi, I'm no longer in touch with the Raspbian maintainers so you might want to try installing from PyPi with The documentation should be updated at some point. |
We'll look at why it doesn't install with Stretch and try and get it updated. |
So, I didn't find pifacecad in PyPi, so I cannot use PyPi for install pifacecad support. I can install Python 2 version of pifacecad deb file from GitHub, but I cannot install Python 3 version of deb file from GitHub, because the python3-lirc package don't want install. |
You should probably create an issue at https://github.com/RPi-Distro/repo for these missing packages. |
@DougieLawson Done and already closed. |
@DanielChesters How can they close something that's not resolved? Because it doesn't work on Stretch (and the pip3 version doesn't work either). Someone needs to rework the pifacecad code to work with the upgrade from lirc 1.0 to lirc 2.0. I even tried lifting the *.deb files from this repo and they barf badly on install. |
Hi,
Today, I migrate Raspbian to Stretch and I can not found python-pifacecad or python3-pifacecad packages anymore. I also try to install the deb from GitHub, but I have an error when I try to install python3-lirc (python3 package seams to be too new for this package).
