Sorry to hear that this is happening!

If you wouldn't mind, please share the log files of the applications found at this address:

C:\Users<your_username>\Documents\com.pieces.os\production\Support\logs

The default installation method uses Microsoft's App Installer technology. You can make sure this is up to date by checking for updates in the Microsoft store.

Has this been resolved? I have the same exact issue. When I try to launch Pieces OS from the Pieces suite, the button is briefly greyed out and then returns to normal with no launch. When I try to launch it from the start menu, again, nothing happens. It's only Pieces OS that is failing to launch. Pieces for Developers is working properly. I have just installed the Pieces app on my device (Windows 11) and made sure that I am not missing any updates, by clicking the update buttons.

EDIT: I have noticed that there is a system tray icon for Pieces OS that I can click on, which will open a small window that shows a green circle and says "Connecting Pieces Apps". But when I go to https://code.pieces.app/onboarding/chrome/welcome and click "copy and save" under the example code snippet, I get a warning message from my Brave browser: "Failed to connect to Pieces OS! If you have Pieces OS installed, please launch it. If you do not, please download Pieces OS." I have the Pieces for Developers extension enabled on my browser.
