Software

Desktop Application, Web Extension, Obsidian

Operating System

macOS

Your Pieces OS Version

8.0.0

Kindly describe the bug and include as much detail as possible on what you were doing so we can reproduce the bug.

I configured enrichment to low.

However, when adding snippets from the desktop app, the obsidian integration or the chrome browser extension, sometimes I get more than 50 tags!

It seems like the settings are just not being honored properly.

Hi @ramarivera Thanks for sharing this.

As of right now, this setting is on a per-application basis, which is why it may yield different results from different plugins. Our team is working on bringing this setting to the plugins as we speak and it should be released in an update here soon.

Regarding the desktop app, do you mind the method you were using to save from within the desktop app when you received unexpected results?

This could have been when pasting, creating from scratch, using snippet discovery, etc.

Thanks!

I see. I know its not explicitly stated anywhere, but requiring a centralized application called OS just drove me to think that settings were unified across the whole ecosystem.

From the desktop app it was either add from scratch or copy pasting

Thanks @ramarivera. We are in the process for releasing patch updates to the VS Code extension, Obsidian plugin, and Chrome extension with the ability to configure the enrichment setting.

We'll also make sure the setting is properly respected in all methods of creation from within the desktop app.

@mack-at-pieces Do we've any updates over the unified auto-enrichment settings for apps?
