Requirements

  • non-limited Steam account (need to own a game on Steam)
  • square branding image (similar to a box cover)
  • 1 video showing off your game or presenting your concept
  • at least 4 screenshots
  • written description of the game along with the system requirements

Not a strict requirement but recommended:

  • Steamworks features (achievements, multiplayer matchmaking, anti-cheat)

Features
SDK

Must run on Windows, Linux and Mac are optional!

Submission time: There are two categories, one for mostly-finished games and one for early builds and concepts that are seeking feedback from the community. The category has to be chosen on submission. There seems to be no switching between the concept and game category, a new entry needs to be created.

Marketing Tips
Tips for getting greenlit

One time fee of 90€ which enables the Steam Account to submit games to Greenlight.
Might be beneficial to create a new Steam account to represent the team or company rather than using a personal one.
No need to form a company but a single individual/entity must be named that will be paid for sales of the game.
There is no specific number of votes needed to be accepted, Steam will reach out to the developers as they see that the game is getting traction.
